[Naming Ceremony for the First Vessel of Qatar Energy's Phase II LNG Carrier Project, "LEKHRAIB," Held in South Korea] According to an official announcement from China Merchants Energy Shipping, the naming ceremony and related activities for the first vessel of the "Qatar Energy LNG Carrier Phase II Project" (hereinafter referred to as the "Qatar Gas Phase II Project"), ordered by China Merchants Energy Shipping from Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea, were held in Geoje Island and Busan, South Korea, from October 28th to 29th. The "LEKHRAIB" is the first of six 174,000 cubic meter LNG carriers under the LNG project jointly undertaken by China Merchants Energy Shipping and Qatar Energy, and also a significant achievement of the first collaboration between China Merchants Energy Shipping and Samsung Heavy Industries. After its official delivery, the vessel will provide long-term LNG transportation support services for Qatar Energy.
