[National Data Administration Holds Symposium on High-Quality Dataset Construction in Industries: Understanding Data Needs for Artificial Intelligence] On the morning of October 28, the National Data Administration (NDA) convened a symposium for industry leaders on the construction of high-quality data sets. The meeting emphasized the need to understand the data needs for artificial intelligence (AI). Leading entities should base their work on their own needs, proactively explore external needs from upstream and downstream sectors of the industry chain, adhere to a demand-oriented approach, and precisely promote data set construction. They should play a leading role, exploring and establishing profit-sharing and commercial return mechanisms, creating industry data maps, promoting distributed data aggregation, and guiding the registration of industry-specific datasets to the national dataset management and service system. They should strengthen application feedback, establishing data feedback and iterative optimization mechanisms based on actual application scenarios, continuously collecting user feedback, promoting dynamic updates of datasets, and constantly improving the adaptability of data to application scenarios. Finally, they should strengthen industry chain collaboration, leveraging the "chain-gathering" role of leading entities to collaborate with upstream and downstream units in the industry chain, expand the scope of cooperation, and promote the construction of the industry ecosystem.
