International oil prices closed slightly lower on November 3. At the close of trading, the price of light sweet crude oil futures for December delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 37 cents to $96.09 per barrel, a decrease of 0.38%; while the price of Brent crude oil futures for January delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange fell $1.17 to settle at $103.60 per barrel, a decrease of 1.12%. Overall, although both benchmark crude oil futures fell in tandem, the declines were relatively limited, and they remained in a high-level consolidation phase.
