Online travel giant Booking Holdings released its Q3 2024 results as follows: 1. Total bookings reached $54.5 billion, exceeding market expectations of $52.69 billion; 2. Q3 revenue was $8.89 billion, lower than the market consensus of $9.54 billion; 3. Adjusted earnings per share were $4.66, compared to $99.50 in the same period last year; 4. Adjusted EBITDA was $4.61 billion, higher than market expectations of $4.49 billion; 5. Cumulative room nights booked on the platform in Q3 reached 345 million, exceeding market expectations of 339.24 million. The company also provided guidance for Q4: total bookings are expected to grow by 2% to 4% year-over-year, room nights by 1% to 3% year-over-year, and revenue growth at constant exchange rates is also expected to be between 2% and 4% year-over-year. Overall, Booking's total bookings, room bookings, and adjusted EBITDA all exceeded market expectations this quarter, demonstrating the resilience of the platform's core booking business. However, revenue performance fell short of expectations, and adjusted earnings per share declined significantly compared to the same period last year. In addition, the growth guidance given for the fourth quarter was relatively conservative, reflecting the company's cautious attitude towards future travel market demand.
