[Trump Regrets Senate's Failure to Pass Sunshine Protection Act, Says He Will Continue to Fight for Permanent Daylight Saving Time] (1) US President Trump posted that it is regrettable that the Senate has not yet passed the Sunshine Protection Act, which seeks to permanently implement daylight saving time. (2) He said that he did not want to make a big deal out of this before the election, so as not to cause some senators to suffer a crushing defeat in the election, but they have not been able to do so, which is really regrettable. (3) The House of Representatives has repeatedly submitted the bill to the Senate with an overwhelming bipartisan consensus, but the Senate has never considered it. (4) Trump said that although there are more urgent tasks to deal with, he will continue to fight for it.
