[Airbus Delivers Approximately 74 Aircraft in October, Year-End Target Faces Delivery Speed Test] ⑴ According to sources, Airbus delivered approximately 74 aircraft in October, meaning the European aircraft manufacturer must accelerate deliveries at an unprecedented pace in the last two months of this year to achieve its 2026 delivery target. ⑵ Airbus needs to deliver another 250 aircraft to reach its annual target of approximately 870, equivalent to more than 6 aircraft per working day. ⑶ Rob Morris, former head of Ascend by Cirium, stated that Airbus has never achieved this delivery speed before. ⑷ Although Airbus increased production in the second half of this year and previously achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 100 aircraft, the company has lowered its annual delivery targets for 2024 and 2025 due to parts shortages and additional inspections caused by supplier quality issues. ⑸ Last month, Airbus reiterated its expectation of achieving its annual delivery target, with CEO Guillaume Faury stating that the supply chain situation has improved and Pratt & Whitney expects to provide a sufficient number of engines to help Airbus achieve its delivery target. (6) Previously, Airbus and the engine manufacturer had a dispute over engine supply delays.
