Baker Hughes to Acquire Chart Industries for $13.6 Billion in Cash: Shares of Baker Hughes (BKR) fell approximately 1% on Tuesday morning, Eastern Time, following reports that the company was about to acquire Chart Industries (GTLS) for $13.6 billion in cash. The transaction values Chart Industries (GTLS) at $210 per share, a 22% premium to its previous closing price. The acquisition will replace Chart Industries' previous merger agreement with Flowserve Corporation (FLS). The transaction is intended to strengthen Baker Hughes' presence in the liquefied natural gas, nuclear power, and data center sectors.
