[Immigration Administration: From January to June of this year, 19.15 million foreigners were checked into China at ports nationwide, a 30% year-on-year increase.] Wang Zhizhong, Vice Minister of Public Security and Director of the National Immigration Administration, announced at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 30th, titled "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan," that from January to June of this year, 19.15 million foreigners were checked into China at ports nationwide, a 30% year-on-year increase. Of these, 13.64 million foreigners entered China visa-free, accounting for 71.2% and a 53.9% year-on-year increase. The continued benefits of the visa-free policy have enhanced exchanges and interactions between China and the people of other countries, brought them closer together, and strengthened friendships.
