[China's Ministry of Natural Resources Tsunami Warning Center Issues Yellow Tsunami Alert] At 07:24 on July 30, 2025 (Beijing Time), a magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck the offshore waters off the east coast of Kamchatka (52.53°N, 160.16°E) at a depth of 20 kilometers (source parameters revised). Based on the latest monitoring and analysis results, the Ministry of Natural Resources Tsunami Warning Center has determined that this earthquake has triggered a tsunami, which is expected to have disastrous impacts on the coasts of Shanghai, Zhoushan South, Taipei East, Pingtung West, Pingtung East, Taidong Southeast, Taidong Northeast, Hualien, and Yilan.
