[Governments across Japan continue to strengthen tsunami alerts] Due to a strong earthquake off the east coast of Kamchatka, the Japan Meteorological Agency upgraded tsunami warnings in several areas to tsunami alerts, issued tsunami warnings for several prefectures along the Pacific coast, and reminded residents in coastal areas to pay attention to safety.
