[Bank of America raises year-end forecasts for Japan's two major stock indices] Two strategists from Bank of America Global Research raised their year-end forecasts for Japan's Topix index and Nikkei 225 index. The strategists said the new forecasts reflect the US-Japan trade agreement, expectations for Japan's fiscal growth, and a favorable supply and demand environment. Although cyclical stocks may lose some momentum, they still have room to rise. Bank of America currently predicts that the Topix index will close at 3050 points in 2025, compared with the previous forecast of 2850 points; the Nikkei 225 index will close at 43,000 points, compared with the previous forecast of 40,000 points.
