Guo Yanhong, Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, explained that the National Health Commission, in conjunction with relevant departments, will use multiple channels to reduce childbirth, raising children, and educating children. The cost of childcare for infants under three years old will be included in the special additional deduction for individual income tax, with the deduction standard increased to 2,000 yuan per child per month. The maternity leave system will also be further improved, with all provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities) generally extending maternity leave to 158 days or more. Spouse accompanying leave of approximately 15 days and parental leave ranging from 5 to 20 days will also be established. (CCTV News)
