[All-China Federation of Trade Unions Liu Hongmei: Support employers to run daycare and provide financial support] Liu Hongmei, director of the Women Workers Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 30 that in order to solve the difficulties of raising children and help promote employers to run daycare and talent training, from 2022 to 2024, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Health Commission will carry out the recommendation and application of national caring childcare employers for three consecutive years, and allocate a total of 22.5 million yuan to subsidize 300 caring childcare employers. This year, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions has made special arrangements to promote employers to run daycare, adhere to classified measures, adapt to local conditions, and support employers such as government agencies, enterprises and institutions that have the conditions to run daycare. In terms of financial support, it is clarified that the relevant expenses required for employers to carry out universal childcare services for employees' children can be charged from employee welfare expenses according to regulations, and the union funds of employers can be appropriately supplemented.
