[Main Cotton Futures Contract Falls 1.89%, Open Interest Continues to Decline] ⑴ At the close of trading on July 30th, the main cotton futures contract 2509 fell 1.89%, with a trading volume of 313,800 lots. Position data showed that the top 20 traders had a net short position of 15,814 lots, indicating that shorts still held a significant advantage. ⑵ Total trading volume for all contracts was 458,900 lots, down 36,500 lots from the previous day. Regarding the open interest of the top 20 traders, long positions decreased by 5,692 lots to 584,700 lots, while short positions decreased by 14,900 lots to 614,000 lots.
