[Thailand announces nationwide drone ban, with offenders facing up to one year in prison] On July 30th, local time, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand issued an emergency announcement, announcing that from July 30th to August 15th, all types of drones will be banned nationwide, covering both civilian and commercial purposes, to prevent security risks and cooperate with military and police operations. According to the announcement, during the ban period, any violators will be held criminally liable in accordance with the Aviation Act and face up to one year in prison, a fine of no more than 40,000 baht (approximately 8,800 yuan), or both. If the military determines that a drone poses a threat to national security, it has the right to immediately shoot it down. (CCTV)
