Trump's tariff threat will severely impact Indian exports. India may soon face a difficult situation. US President Trump stated in a Truth Social post on Wednesday that India will pay a 25% tariff and a penalty related to purchases of Russian military equipment and energy, effective August 1st. However, Indian officials have not given up, believing the tariff impact is only a short-term setback, with larger negotiations still scheduled for the fall.
