Another strong earthquake struck off the coast of Kamchatka Peninsula. Russian media reported on the 30th, citing the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, that another 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Kamchatka Peninsula that day. The report said the quake occurred 178 kilometers from the Severo-Kurilsk region of the Kuril Islands, at a depth of 68 kilometers. Subsequently, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the same area.
