[National Bureau of Statistics: Production Index Maintains Expansion] The production index and new order index were 50.5% and 49.4% respectively, down 0.5 and 0.8 percentage points from the previous month. Manufacturing production activities continued to expand, while market demand slowed down. From the industry perspective, the production index and new order index of industries such as railway, shipbuilding, aerospace equipment, and computer, communication and electronic equipment continued to be in the expansion range, and both production and demand were relatively active. The two indices of industries such as chemical raw materials and chemical products and non-metallic mineral products continued to be below the critical point, and market supply and demand were weak.
