Georgia's GDP growth slowed to an 18-month low in June. (1) Georgia's economy grew by 6.3% year-on-year in June 2025, slowing from 7.5% in the previous month and marking the weakest growth since January last year. This was primarily due to weakness in the construction and energy sectors. (2) Key sectors such as information and communications, manufacturing, finance and insurance, transportation, and trade performed well, supporting economic growth. (3) Economic activity grew by 8.3% year-on-year in the January-June period, with net trade contributing to growth – exports surged by 13.7%, while imports grew at a more modest 12.4%.
