[Soda Ash Futures Contract Plummets 6.45%, Net Short Positions Expand] ⑴ On July 31st, the main soda ash futures contract 2509 plummeted 6.45%, with a trading volume of 1.987 million lots. The net short position of the top 20 traders widened to 135,116 lots. ⑵ Total trading volume for all contracts was 3.6484 million lots, down 1.0602 million lots from the previous day. The top 20 traders held a long position of 1.1563 million lots (an increase of 129,700 lots), and a short position of 1.4609 million lots (an increase of 139,800 lots).
