On July 31, the National Energy Administration released the "China New Energy Storage Development Report (2025)." By 2024, my country will continue to improve its policy framework supporting the development of new energy storage, strengthen the guiding role of planning, intensify scientific and technological research, improve the electricity market mechanism, and fully leverage the diverse value of new energy storage. At the same time, China will continue to promote pilot applications, improve the standard system, and enhance management mechanisms to guide the healthy and orderly development of new energy storage. By the end of 2024, China will have installed and put into operation 73.76 million kilowatts/168 million kilowatt-hours of new energy storage, accounting for over 40% of the global installed capacity. New energy storage technology routes are flourishing, covering major technical routes for global engineering applications. The level of dispatch and application is steadily improving, strongly supporting the construction of new power systems.
