Medium- and Long-Term UK Gilt Yields Rise at Late in European Trading on Thursday (July 31st), the UK 10-year gilt yield fell 3.4 basis points to 4.569%, marking a cumulative increase of 8.0 basis points in July. It rose on July 1st and 2nd, then remained range-bound at high levels for the remainder of the month. The two-year gilt yield fell 1.5 basis points to 3.861%, a cumulative increase of 4.4 basis points in July. The 30-year gilt yield fell 3.9 basis points to 5.376%, a cumulative increase of 9.7 basis points in July. The 50-year gilt yield fell 2.8 basis points to 4.785%, a cumulative increase of 15.5 basis points in July. The 2-year/10-year gilt yield spread fell 2.015 basis points to +70.015 basis points, a cumulative increase of 3.975 basis points in July.
