According to a press conference held by the Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office on the 1st, the "Management Measures for the Shanghai Oriental Hub International Business Cooperation Zone" came into effect on the 1st, clearly stipulating facilitation for domestic and foreign personnel entering and exiting the zone, as well as the management of luggage and cargo. Regarding foreign personnel entering and exiting the zone, the measures stipulate that foreign personnel arriving at Pudong International Airport on international (regional) flights must present their international travel documents and a valid invitation registered with the zone's comprehensive management agency, and enter the zone after verification by immigration authorities. Domestic invitation agencies generally register 48 hours in advance through the comprehensive service platform. Foreign personnel conducting business activities within the zone may stay for 30 days, with extensions possible for legitimate reasons. Regarding luggage management, the measures clearly stipulate that full convenience will be provided for foreign personnel bringing in a reasonable amount of luggage for personal use. Customs will only conduct luggage security inspections and animal and plant quarantine inspections. Domestic personnel entering the zone must ensure that their luggage meets the needs of their activities within the zone. Items intended for re-export must be registered through the comprehensive service platform according to prompts. Domestic personnel are prohibited from carrying duty-free items brought in by foreign personnel upon exiting the zone. (Xinhua News Agency)
