[China Meteorological Administration Launches Level 4 Emergency Response for Major Meteorological Disasters (Heavy Rain)] The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue alert for heavy rain at 6:00 PM on September 15th. Heavy rainfall is expected from the night of September 15th to the 18th across western China and the Huanghuai region, with torrential rain (100-120 mm) expected in parts of central and southern Shaanxi, southern Gansu, central and eastern Henan, southern Shandong, northern Jiangsu, and the southwestern Sichuan Basin. After comprehensive assessment and emergency consultation, the China Meteorological Administration has activated a Level 4 emergency response for major meteorological disasters (heavy rain). Provincial meteorological bureaus in Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu have initiated corresponding emergency responses based on actual assessments. All units must strictly follow the meteorological disaster emergency response process, prevent secondary disasters caused by heavy rainfall, provide service reminders for tourism and transportation, and promptly report any important developments to the China Meteorological Administration.
