The lawsuit is being filed in Florida. Trump stated: "Today, I have the honor of filing a $15 billion libel and slander lawsuit against The New York Times. The New York Times is one of the worst and most depraved newspapers in American history. It has become the mouthpiece of the radical left Democratic Party. In my opinion, this is the largest illegal campaign in history. Their support for Kamala Harris was so unabashedly displayed on the front page of the New York Times that it is unheard of! The New York Times has been engaged in a years-long practice of fabricating lies about your favorite president (me!), my family, my career, the America First movement, MAGA, and our entire country.
