[Former Italian Prime Minister: US LNG prices to the EU are 60-90% higher than in the US] Former Italian Prime Minister and former European Central Bank President Mario Draghi stated that even taking into account logistics and regasification costs, US LNG prices to the EU remain 60-90% higher than in the US. At a conference commemorating the first anniversary of his submission of the EU competitiveness report to the European Commission, Draghi stated: "Europe has become the world's largest buyer of US LNG, with the EU committing to purchase US energy totaling $750 billion. Since March, LNG prices to Europe have been 60-90% higher than in the US, even taking into account logistics and regasification costs."
