A chart: The Baltic Index remains stable, with small increases in all ship types

The Baltic Exchange Dry Index, which monitors freight rates for ships transporting dry bulk commodities, remained unchanged on Monday, with rates for all vessel categories remaining stable.
The main index, measuring Capesize, Panamax and Supramax freight rates, was unchanged at 2,069 points.
The capesize index rose 7 points, or 0.2%, to 3,128 points, its highest level in a week.
Average daily earnings for capesize vessels, which typically carry 150,000-tonne cargoes such as iron ore and coal, rose $62 to $25,944.
Iron ore futures prices fell on Monday.
The Panamax index rose for the tenth consecutive trading day, up 2 points to 1,829 points.
Average daily earnings for Panamax vessels, which typically carry 60,000-70,000 tonnes of coal or grain, rose $14 to $16,460.
Among smaller vessels, the supramax index fell 6 points to 1,422.
