[Belgian Industrial Production Growth Slows to Five-Month Low in October] ⑴ Belgian industrial production grew 0.2% year-on-year in October, a slowdown from the upwardly revised 2.2% increase in the previous month, marking the lowest growth rate since May. ⑵ Manufacturing output growth slowed to 2.2%, compared to 3.8% in the previous month. ⑶ Meanwhile, the decline in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector deepened to 17.7%, compared to a 12.0% decline in the previous month. ⑷ In contrast, the mining and quarrying industry rebounded by 1.5% this month after a 1.6% decline previously. ⑸ Seasonally adjusted monthly data showed that overall industrial production fell 3.5% month-on-month in October, the lowest level in five months, after the September figure was revised downward to a 0.4% month-on-month decline.
