[Portugal's November Inflation Rate Falls to Seven-Month Low] ⑴ Portugal's annual inflation rate fell to 2.2% in November, the lowest in seven months, compared to 2.3% previously, in line with preliminary estimates. ⑵ Housing and utilities inflation slowed to 1.4% (previous 1.8%), restaurant and hotel inflation fell to 5.2% (previous 5.6%), and miscellaneous goods and services inflation fell to 2.9% (previous 3.3%). ⑶ Entertainment and cultural inflation fell to 1.4% (previous 1.5%), furniture and household goods inflation fell to 0.1% (previous 0.4%), and alcoholic beverage and tobacco inflation fell to 1.8% (previous 1.9%). ⑷ Clothing and footwear prices fell by 1.8% (previous -1.3%), and communication prices fell by 4.0% (previous -3.7%). ⑸ Food and non-alcoholic beverage inflation remained stable at 3.5%, healthcare inflation remained stable at 2.9%, and education inflation remained stable at 4.3%. (6) On the other hand, transportation price inflation accelerated to 1.9% (previous value 1.8%). (7) Core inflation, excluding energy and unprocessed foods, fell to 2.0% from 2.1%. (8) On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.3% month-on-month in November, compared to no change in October.
