The Kremlin stated that Russia would strongly oppose any unacceptable clauses included in the Ukraine reconciliation plan. Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said he had not yet seen the new document, but would strongly oppose it if it contained relevant amendments, as Russia had clearly stated its position and the United States fully understood it. He emphasized that Russia might object to many aspects, stating that some clauses would be completely unacceptable, including those concerning territorial issues. Ushakov also pointed out that Ukraine and Europe's contributions to the Ukraine reconciliation document were unlikely to be constructive.
