Court documents show that Israel's Supreme Court ruled on Sunday to reject the government's request to dismiss the Attorney General. In March, the cabinet launched a vote of no confidence against Gali Baharav-Miara, appointed by the previous government, citing significant disagreements between the government and the Attorney General. However, a panel of seven Supreme Court judges ruled on Sunday that the established mechanism for removing the Attorney General must not be changed, and thus invalidated the cabinet's vote of no confidence.
