[Thailand Considers Fuel Blockade Against Cambodia] Days after US President Trump announced a ceasefire, the conflict at the Thai-Cambodian border has escalated again, with Thailand considering a complete blockade of fuel exports to Cambodia. Thailand halted oil exports to Cambodia in June, with its oil supply last year amounting to 2.2 billion liters. On December 14, Thailand announced a blockade of the Gulf of Thailand to prevent oil and military supplies from entering Cambodia. The Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters and Military Command Center stated that day that Thailand had decided to blockade Thai vessels and related ships operated by Thailand, prohibiting them from exporting fuel and military supplies to Cambodia by sea, in order to weaken Cambodia's ability to pose a threat to Thailand. The day before, the Cambodian government announced a complete suspension of personnel crossings at the Cambodian-Thai border to reduce the risk of cross-border movement of citizens from both countries and other nations.
