[India's Trade Deficit Narrows to Five-Month Low in November] ⑴ Preliminary data shows that India's trade deficit narrowed to $24.53 billion in November, compared to $31.92 billion in the same period last year. ⑵ This is the smallest trade deficit in five months, mainly driven by stronger exports and lower imports. ⑶ Exports rose 19.37% year-on-year to $38.13 billion, a six-month high, supported by a series of government measures. ⑷ These measures include consumption tax cuts, export incentives, and labor reforms aimed at mitigating the economic impact of the 50% US tariffs implemented at the end of August.
