[Botswana's November Inflation Rate Slightly Declines to 3.8%] ⑴ Botswana's annual inflation rate in November 2025 was 3.8%, slightly lower than the 13-month high of 3.9% reached the previous month. ⑵ Price growth slowed in some consumer price index categories, mainly with transportation prices rising 5.6% year-on-year, lower than October's 6.2%; entertainment and cultural prices rising 0.6% year-on-year, lower than October's 1.3%; and healthcare prices rising 2.3% year-on-year, lower than October's 2.6%. ⑶ Meanwhile, food prices rose 5.5% year-on-year, unchanged from October's reading; while housing and utilities prices fell 3% year-on-year, a slightly smaller decline than October's 3.1% drop. ⑷ On the other hand, alcoholic beverage and tobacco prices rose significantly by 10% year-on-year, higher than October's 9.8%; miscellaneous goods and services prices rose 8.8% year-on-year, higher than October's 8.4%. ⑸ On a month-on-month basis, the consumer price index in November was unchanged from the previous month, compared to a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
