Dutch pension fund PME, which manages approximately $70 billion in assets, has terminated its partnership with BlackRock after assessing that the fund no longer aligns with its best interests on issues such as climate risk. This means that BlackRock will no longer be responsible for managing its €5 billion ($5.9 billion) equity mandate. The fund stated via email that its portfolio will be taken over by UBS and investment management firm MN, and the size of each firm's management will be determined in the coming months.
