[Small Plane Crashes in Mexico, Multiple Deaths] A small plane crashed in central Mexico on December 15th at noon local time while attempting an emergency landing. Local civil defense authorities confirmed that the private plane was registered with eight passengers and two crew members, but only seven bodies were recovered hours after the crash, and no survivors have been found. The small plane took off from Acapulco on Mexico's Pacific coast. The crash occurred in an industrial area, only 5 kilometers from Toluca Airport near Mexico City. Civil defense officials stated that the small plane apparently attempted an emergency landing on a nearby football field but crashed into the metal roof of a business, causing a fire. The fire forced the evacuation of approximately 130 people from the area. The crash is currently under investigation. (CCTV)
