According to STMicroelectronics, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and STMicroelectronics have signed a €500 million financing agreement, the first tranche of a recently approved €1 billion credit line. This collaboration will support STMicroelectronics' investment plans in innovative semiconductor technology and device R&D and large-scale manufacturing in Italy and France. Approximately 60% of the funds will be used for core facilities in Catania, Agrate, and Kroll.
