[Chinese Delegation Completes Participation in the 22nd Consultation Meeting on ITU Resolution 609] From December 10th to 12th, 2025, the 22nd Consultation Meeting on ITU Resolution 609 was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. More than 30 satellite navigation system operators from 17 countries and regions participated in the consultations and discussions. Officials from the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau participated as observers. The purpose of the ITU Resolution 609 consultation meeting was to establish a consultation mechanism to determine the power share of space radio stations in the 1164-1215MHz frequency band for each country's satellite navigation systems, strictly ensuring that the total power of all systems does not exceed the prescribed limits, in order to protect aeronautical radio navigation services in this frequency band from harmful interference. Through multi-party coordination, my country's proposal was adopted by the meeting, further consolidating the international rule status of my country's satellite navigation system being included in the consultations. At the same time, Chinese experts were elected as conveners for the next cycle of consultation meetings on ITU Resolution 609 (2026-2028). (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology)
