[Joint Plenary Meeting of the 2025 Committee of the Brain-Computer Interface Standardization Technical Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Brain-Computer Interface Subcommittee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee Successfully Held] On December 11, the 2025 joint plenary meeting of the Brain-Computer Interface Standardization Technical Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Brain-Computer Interface Subcommittee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC28/SC43) was held in Hangzhou. Zhao Chaofan, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out in his speech that the "15th Five-Year Plan" proposal explicitly identified brain-computer interfaces as one of the six major future industries, marking a new stage in the development of the brain-computer interface industry and its standardization. Going forward, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will adhere to the principles of "standard setting leading industrial development, standard implementation promoting industrial governance, and standard internationalization serving industrial globalization," working hand in hand with all parties to jointly develop and strengthen this future industry.
