A report released by the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) on the 15th stated that the adoption rate of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Italian businesses has doubled this year compared to last year. However, in Italy, where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) dominate, the adoption rate remains low. This year, 16.4% of Italian companies with 10 or more employees have adopted some form of AI technology, up from 8.2% in 2024 and 5% in 2023.
