Goldman Sachs Raises 2026 Copper Price Forecast: 1. In its latest report, Goldman Sachs raised its 2026 copper price forecast, increasing the annual average price estimate from $10,650 per ton to $11,400 per ton. This is primarily due to the continued risk of further US tariffs on copper imports. 2. Goldman Sachs estimates there is a 55% probability that the Trump administration will announce a 15% tariff on copper imports in the first half of 2026, which is expected to take effect in 2027 and could potentially increase to 30% in 2028. Despite the upward revision to the 2026 price forecast, Goldman Sachs maintains its 2027 copper price forecast at $10,750 per ton.
