[French December PMI Shows Significant Improvement in Manufacturing, Slight Slowdown in Services] ⑴ The French composite PMI fell slightly to 50.1 in December from 50.4 in November. ⑵ The preliminary services PMI fell to 50.2 in November from 51.4, a two-month low. ⑶ French manufacturing performed well, with the preliminary PMI rising to 50.6 in November from 47.8, a 40-month high. ⑷ S&P Global stated that manufacturing benefited from growth in the aviation industry. ⑸ In November, French aerospace group Safran said it expected its annual revenue in India to triple, India being the world's fastest-growing aviation market. ⑹ However, S&P Global added that ongoing political concerns are hindering the development of French businesses as the government rushes to pass the budget by the end of 2025.
