[Uruguay's GDP Growth Slows in Q3] ⑴ Uruguay's GDP grew by 1.2% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, a slowdown from the 2.2% growth in the previous quarter, due to weak activity in several key sectors. ⑵ On the positive side, trade, accommodation, and food services grew by 5.4%, and financial services grew by 3.0%. Healthcare, education, real estate activities, and other services also contributed, growing by a combined 0.8%. ⑶ In contrast, manufacturing contracted by 2.1%, construction declined by 3.1%, and agriculture, fisheries, and mining saw a slight decrease of 0.2%, dragging down overall growth. ⑷ Total value added increased by 0.8%, while net tax revenue from products grew strongly by 4.3%.
