[Brazil's Weather Favors Crop Growth] Michael Cordonnier of Soybean & Corn Advisor stated that Brazilian field crops are benefiting from abundant rainfall entering the country's planting areas. Cordonnier said, "Rainfall in Brazil became much more regular last week and over the weekend, which is beneficial for crop growth and the planting of the remaining soybeans." He also noted that even stronger rainfall is expected this week. The same is true in Rio Grande do Sul, a southern Brazilian state that has been particularly dry, leading to a slowdown in planting. Improved global humidity prospects are supporting a stronger supply outlook, thus putting pressure on futures prices.
