Gold prices rebounded in late New York trading on Tuesday (December 16) following the release of the US November non-farm payrolls report. Spot gold fell 0.03% to $4,303.69 per ounce, having spent half the day trading in a narrow range. It hit a daily low of $4,271.92 in the Asian afternoon session before rising 90 minutes before the release of the US non-farm payrolls report at 21:30. The rebound continued after the data release, reaching a daily high of $4,335.11 at 23:08. COMEX gold futures fell 0.03% to $4,333.70 per ounce, trading between $4,297.40 and $4,367.90 during the day.
