According to a report by Axios on March 15, the White House condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the Israeli military announced the killing of senior Hamas commander Raad Saad in Gaza City. US officials revealed that the White House sent Netanyahu a strongly worded private message emphasizing that the killing of the senior Hamas military commander violated the ceasefire agreement brokered by US President Trump. A senior US official said the White House told Netanyahu, "If you want to ruin your reputation by showing you're not adhering to the agreement, go ahead, but we won't allow you to ruin President Trump's reputation after the Gaza agreement."
