[Branch Governor of Indonesia Says High Global Uncertainty Requires Policy Support for Domestic Demand] ⑴ The Governor of Bank Indonesia stated that looking ahead, uncertainty is expected to remain high. The persistently high US dollar index has limited capital inflows into emerging markets. ⑵ Bank Indonesia anticipates even more limited room for easing the federal funds rate next year. Affected by US tariff policies, global economic growth is expected to slow to 3% in 2026. ⑶ The Governor of Bank Indonesia pointed out that domestic economic growth has recovered, but policy support is still needed to unleash its growth potential.
