[South Africa's Inflation Rate Slows to 3.5% in November] ⑴ South Africa's annual inflation rate fell slightly to 3.5% in November from 3.6% in October, slightly below market expectations of 3.6%. ⑵ Price increases slowed in five of the 13 product categories, most notably transportation, recreation, sports and culture, and information and communication. ⑶ Core inflation (excluding food, non-alcoholic beverages, fuels and energy) rose slightly to 3.2% in November from 3.1% in October. ⑷ On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell 0.1% in November after rising 0.1% in October.
