[London Mining Stocks Boosted by Rising Precious Metal Prices] ⑴ Shares of London-based mining companies were boosted by rising gold and silver prices as traders awaited US inflation data and geopolitical tensions escalated. ⑵ In New York, gold futures rose 0.3%, while silver futures rose as much as 3.9%. Precious metal prices benefited from heightened geopolitical tensions following US President Trump's announcement of a "complete and total blockade" of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela. ⑶ Fresnillo shares rose 3.2%, Endeavour Mining rose 1.2%, Anglo American rose 2.8%, Glencore rose 2%, and Antofagasta rose 1.5%.
