[Belgium's Construction Output Declines for First Time in Five Months in October 2025] ⑴ Belgium's construction output fell 0.5% year-on-year in October 2025, the first decline in five months, following a stagnation in September. The decline was mainly driven by a further contraction in civil engineering activity, which fell 2.6% year-on-year, a larger drop than September's 2.0%. ⑵ Meanwhile, growth in specialized construction activity slowed, with a year-on-year increase of 0.4%, lower than September's 1.0%. In contrast, the decline in house construction narrowed, falling 0.8% year-on-year, an improvement from September's 2.2% decline. ⑶ On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction activity rose slightly by 0.4% in October, rebounding from a 1.2% month-on-month decline in the previous month.
